Service Description

Migraine treatment with Botox (botulinum toxin) works by temporarily blocking the nerve signals to certain muscles in the head and neck. The treatment may reduce the frequency of migraine attacks and relieve related symptoms such as headaches, muscle tension and pressure in the head. The treatment is planned based on a doctor’s evaluation and is individually targeted to the muscles of the head and neck. Botulinum treatment for migraine is performed at our clinic in Turku as a medical treatment, which means it is VAT-exempt (VAT 0%). The effect typically lasts several months, after which the treatment can be repeated if needed based on the doctor’s assessment. Prices do not include the medication. Patients may apply for Kela reimbursement for the treatment after the visit. The medication purchased by the patient may also be eligible for Kela reimbursement. 1 additional aesthetic botulinum treatment area together with a medical treatment +124.00€ / additional area (incl. VAT 25.5%).
