Hyperhidrosis treatment

Service Description

Treatment of excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, with Botox (botulinum toxin) works by temporarily blocking the nerve signals to the sweat glands. The treatment can significantly reduce excessive sweating, for example in the underarms, palms or soles of the feet. The treatment is planned based on a doctor’s evaluation and is targeted individually to the treated area. Botulinum treatment for hyperhidrosis is performed at our clinic in Turku as a medical treatment, which means it is VAT-exempt (VAT 0%). The effect typically lasts several months, after which the treatment can be repeated if needed. Prices do not include the medication. Patients may apply for Kela reimbursement for these treatment fees after the appointment. The medication purchased by the patient may also be eligible for Kela reimbursement. 1 additional aesthetic botulinum treatment area together with a medical treatment +124.00€ / additional area (incl. VAT 25.5%).
