Bruxism (teeth grinding)

Service Description

Treatment of bruxism, or teeth grinding, with Botox (botulinum toxin) is based on the controlled relaxation of the jaw muscles. The treatment may help relieve symptoms associated with bruxism, such as jaw tension, headaches and jaw joint pain. The treatment is planned based on a doctor’s evaluation and is targeted individually to the jaw muscles. Botulinum treatment for bruxism is performed at our clinic in Turku as a medical treatment, which means it is VAT-exempt (VAT 0%). The effect typically lasts several months, after which the treatment can be repeated if needed. Prices do not include the medication. Since March 2025, Kela reimbursement is not granted for bruxism treatment, and the medication used for the treatment is also not eligible for Kela reimbursement. 1 additional aesthetic botulinum treatment area together with a medical treatment +124.00€ / additional area (incl. VAT 25.5%).
